How direct billing works
Most chiropractic practices that “accept” PIP make you pay at the time of service and then submit your receipts for reimbursement — meaning you're out of pocket for weeks while your insurer processes the claim.
We don't do that.
We bill your auto insurer directly. You pay $0 at the time of every visit. The administrative work — claim submission, follow-up, denial management, documentation — is handled by our office, not by you.
The four steps
- You bring your auto insurance card to your first visit (or call ahead with the policy number).
- We verify coverage with your insurer before treatment begins. You'll know exactly what's covered and what's not.
- We treat you and submit claims to your insurer for each visit.
- Your insurer pays us directly. You don't see a bill.
What if there's a denial or coverage gap
We manage denials. If a claim is denied for an addressable reason (missing documentation, coding issue), we resubmit. If your PIP runs out before your treatment is complete, we'll talk to you about options — most commonly health insurance or letter-of-protection care — well before you'd hit the limit.
You're not surprised. You're not handed a bill at checkout. You're not chasing your insurer.
