The PIP promise

Your First Visit Costs You $0.

If you have Texas auto insurance, you almost certainly have PIP coverage that pays for chiropractic care after an accident — and we bill it directly.

What we do before you walk through the door

Three things, every time.

01

We verify your PIP coverage

In minutes, before your appointment. You'll know exactly what's covered before you commit to anything.

02

We bill your auto insurer directly

No paperwork for you. No upfront payment. No surprise invoice in the mail.

03

You never pay at the time of service

Not for the exam. Not for X-rays. Not for treatment.

How is this possible?

It's Texas law.

Texas Insurance Code §1952.152 requires every auto insurer in the state to include Personal Injury Protection (PIP) in your policy — unless you signed a written rejection. A verbal “no” doesn't count. If you didn't sign a piece of paper rejecting it, you have PIP.

That coverage is at minimum $2,500 per injured person, per accident (Texas Insurance Code §1952.153). Many drivers carry $5,000 or $10,000 without realizing it.

PIP pays regardless of fault. It pays alongside your health insurance. And it doesn't raise your rates — Texas insurers can't surcharge you for using a benefit you already paid for.

What your PIP covers when you see us

The full course of crash care, billed to your insurer.

Initial examination and history
Digital X-rays (when medically indicated)
Chiropractic adjustments
Therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation
Soft-tissue therapy and modalities
Treatment plan documentation for any pending claim

What to bring to your first visit

Five things. None of them money.

  • Your auto insurance card (the policy you held at the time of the accident)
  • A copy of the police or accident report, if available
  • Photo ID
  • A list of your symptoms — when they started, what makes them worse, what you've tried
  • Names and contact info for any other providers you've already seen (ER, urgent care, primary care)

If you don't have all of these, come anyway. We'll work with what you have.

When PIP runs out

If your $2,500 (or $5,000, or $10,000) PIP is used up before your treatment is complete, you have options. The most common path: a letter of protection from a personal-injury attorney lets us continue treatment and get paid from your eventual settlement — not out of your pocket.

Quick answers

The questions we hear most.

No. Many of our PIP patients don't have an attorney and never need one. PIP is a benefit you paid for and have a right to use directly. If your case is severe or fault is contested, we can refer you to PI attorneys we work with regularly.

We've verified PIP for hundreds of Hurst patients.

Let us check yours. Call us, or book online. Either way, your first visit costs you nothing.
